GATE CS - GENERAL APTITUDE:General Aptitude Overview

Mastering general aptitude overview concepts and implementation.

General Aptitude for GATE CS

General Aptitude is 15 marks on every GATE paper — more than Compiler Design or Digital Logic usually carry alone. The syllabus is shared across branches, so the same prep serves CS, ME, EE, and the rest.

Paper shape

  • About 10 questions, mixing 1-mark and 2-mark items
  • Verbal Ability + Numerical / Quantitative Ability (and related reasoning)
  • Same negative-marking rules as the rest of the paper for MCQs

Treat GA as a daily 20–30 minute block from month one, not a last-week panic topic.
