Privacy Policy — Damage

Short version

• No account. No sign-up.
• No ads. No advertising identifier (IDFA). No cross-app tracking.
• We use Firebase Analytics to learn which screens, buttons, and flows people use.
• Your bill amounts, tip choices, and saved tabs are stored on your iPhone. Analytics may also send anonymous usage events (for example city, venue, and a check amount) to Google so we can improve the product.
• Purchases go through Apple. We never see your payment card details.
• We do not sell your personal information.

Information we do not collect

Damage does not collect, store on our servers, or sell:

• Names, email addresses, or phone numbers (we have no accounts)
• Precise or approximate location from GPS
• Contacts, photos, microphone, or camera access
• Advertising identifiers (IDFA) or cross-app tracking for ads
• Your payment card number or Apple ID password

We do not use third-party advertising networks or social login.

Analytics (Firebase / Google Analytics)

Damage uses Google Analytics for Firebase to measure product usage. This helps us see where people drop off in onboarding, which cities and venues are used, whether save and share work, and whether Pro purchases succeed.

Events are tied to an anonymous app instance, not to a Damage account (we have none). We collect:

We disable advertising storage, ad personalization, SKAdNetwork registration, and IDFA collection. Analytics is not used to show ads or to track you across other companies' apps.

Google processes analytics data under Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase's privacy information. You can limit some diagnostic sharing in iOS Settings, but Firebase Analytics events from Damage are sent when the app runs.

Information stored on your device

Damage stores the following only on your iPhone, using Apple's on-device storage (for example, UserDefaults):

You can delete saved tabs inside the app. Uninstalling Damage removes this on-device data.

We do not operate a Damage cloud account that syncs this data to our servers. If Apple syncs app data through your personal iCloud backup or device backup settings, that is controlled by Apple and your Apple ID, not by us.

In-app purchases (Damage Pro)

Damage Pro is a one-time non-consumable purchase processed by Apple through StoreKit / the App Store.

When you buy or restore Pro:

• Apple handles payment, receipts, and entitlement verification
• We receive only what Apple provides to confirm that your Apple ID owns the purchase (for example, an entitlement or transaction status)
• We do not receive your full payment card number, billing address, or Apple ID password

Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Restore Purchases uses your Apple ID with Apple's systems. We do not create a separate Damage account for restores.

Sharing content

If you use Share to send a receipt card, the system share sheet on your device handles the destination (Messages, Mail, Photos, and so on). Damage does not upload that share to our servers.

App Store and Apple diagnostics (optional, controlled by you)

Apple may collect certain information about app downloads, purchases, and (if you opt in) device analytics or crash data under Apple's own policies and your iOS privacy settings. That data goes to Apple, not to a Damage backend we operate.

We may see aggregate, anonymized App Store Connect metrics (for example, downloads or sales by region) that do not identify you personally.

Children's privacy

Damage does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app is rated 4+ and does not require an account. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through email support, contact us and we will delete it.

Contact and support

If you reach us via https://www.schoolabe.com/contact or email info@schoolabe.com, we receive whatever you choose to include in that message (for example, your name, email address, and the content of your question). We use that only to respond to support requests and do not add you to a marketing list.

Data retention

• On-device app data: retained until you delete it in-app or uninstall Damage.
• Analytics events: processed by Google / Firebase according to their retention settings (typically months, not indefinitely as a personal profile we control).
• Support emails: retained only as long as needed to resolve your request, then deleted or archived in the ordinary course of inbox management.
• Purchase records: retained by Apple under Apple's policies; we do not keep a separate payment database.

Your choices

• Clear saved tabs in the app at any time.
• Uninstall the app to remove on-device Damage data.
• Manage App Store / Apple ID purchases and privacy settings in iOS Settings.
• Contact us to ask questions about this policy or to request deletion of any personal information you sent us by email. We cannot delete anonymous Firebase app-instance analytics from a specific phone unless you include enough detail for us to identify an instance; uninstalling stops new events from that install.

International users

Damage is offered through the App Store. Processing related to purchases and App Store distribution occurs under Apple's systems and applicable law. On-device calculation data remains on your device unless you share it yourself or back up your device through Apple services you control.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Damage after an update means you accept the revised policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page before they take effect for new use of the app where practical.
