Privacy Policy — Driftless: Focus Timer

1. Summary

Driftless is designed to keep your focus data on your device. We do not require an account. We do not run our own analytics servers for your session history. Purchases are handled by Apple.

2. Information the App stores on your device

The App may store locally on your device (and, if enabled, in your App Group container):

• Timer modes and step settings
• Focus and Rest sessions (start/end times, duration, mode name)
• Tags and optional session notes
• App preferences (appearance, sounds, daily targets, accent color, etc.)
• Active timer state so a session can continue after the App is closed

This data stays on your device unless you export it (CSV/JSON) or back up your device through Apple (e.g. iCloud Backup of the device).

We do not operate a Driftless cloud account that syncs your sessions to Schoolabe servers. iCloud sync for Driftless sessions is not part of the App.

3. Notifications

If you allow notifications, the App may schedule local notifications for:

• Timer completion and 1-minute warnings
• Daily target reminders (if enabled)

Notification permission is optional. You can change it in iOS Settings → Notifications → Driftless: Focus Timer.

4. Purchases and subscriptions (Pro)

If you buy or subscribe to Pro, payment is processed by Apple through the App Store / StoreKit.

Apple may process:

• Purchase history and subscription status
• Payment method and billing details (handled by Apple, not by Schoolabe)

We do not receive your full payment card details. We only receive (via Apple) enough information to unlock Pro features on your device (e.g. entitlement / purchase status).

Subscription management and cancellation: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your Apple device, or reportaproblem.apple.com.

5. Information we do not collect

We do not intentionally collect:

• Name, email, or account profile inside the App (except if you email us)
• Precise location
• Contacts, photos, microphone, or health data
• Advertising IDs for third-party ad networks
• Session-by-session focus history on Schoolabe servers

6. When you contact us

If you email info@schoolabe.com, we receive whatever you include (email address and message content) to respond to support requests. We use that only for support and related communication.

7. Third parties

The App may open links you tap (e.g. Privacy Policy, Terms of Use). Those sites have their own policies.

8. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information via email support, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Data retention and deletion

• On-device data remains until you delete it in the App (Settings → Delete All Data) or delete the App.
• Uninstalling the App removes App data from that device (subject to your device backups).
• Support emails we receive are retained only as long as needed to resolve your request and meet legal obligations.

10. Security

We rely on iOS sandboxing and Apple's purchase systems to protect on-device data and payments. No method of storage is 100% secure; keep your device locked and updated.

11. International users

The App is offered through Apple's App Store. Processing related to purchases is handled by Apple under their terms and privacy practices.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised policy.
