What you will do
You work on the data for the project you are placed on. That file is different from one project to the next: a product export, a client sheet, or a table the team already collects. You are not hired to analyze one fixed dataset.
A task is one question on that table. Load it, handle missing values, filter or group the rows, and make one chart. The chart has to say something the raw rows did not make obvious, and the sentence you write has to match a number you computed.
At about 20 hours a week, a normal week is one notebook on one table, revised after someone checks the numbers against the file.
What you hand in
- The notebook
- Cells in order: load the file, clean or filter, one aggregation, one chart. A student can run them from the top.
- The finding
- One or two sentences on what the chart shows, tied to a column that exists in that CSV. No number you did not compute.
- The check
- You re-run the notebook after review. If a count does not match the file, you fix the cell.
Skills
- Pandas
- Read a CSV, select columns, filter rows, and group. The table changes with the project.
- Cleaning
- You notice missing or odd values in the file you were given, and you say what you did with them.
- Charts
- One chart that matches the question. A bar or a scatter is enough. You label it with the real column names.
Who can apply
- You can load a CSV in pandas and answer a question from it with a table or a chart.
- A notebook or a short write-up with the code is enough. A degree title is not required.
- About 20 hours a week, for 3 months, from home.
What to send
- The application form on this site. It is free, and you need a Schoolabe account.
- One notebook or script on a public table: what you computed, and the chart or the grouped counts.
- Schoolabe writes back if they want to continue. A stipend amount is in the offer letter, and only if you are accepted.
Free to apply. You need a Schoolabe account. Selection is not guaranteed.
