What you will do
You join one of the web projects the team is shipping. The project is assigned after you are accepted, and it can be a product site, a tool, or an internal app. You are not hired onto one fixed repository.
A change is small on purpose. One page, one broken layout, or one screen. You open a pull request, say what the user should see, and fix review comments on that same change.
What you hand in
- A pull request
- The branch builds, the screen matches the task, and the description says which page changed and what a user should see.
- The page itself
- HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in the project you were given. You follow that project’s layout instead of starting a new design.
- Review replies
- When a reviewer asks for a change, you update the same pull request. You do not open a second one to avoid the comment.
Skills
- HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- You can build a page that works in the browser without a tutorial open beside you.
- React
- Helpful on the projects that use it. You can learn that project’s components on the job if you have already built one web project.
Who can apply
- College students or recent graduates who have built at least one web project you can open and click through.
- You can read an existing page and change it without rewriting the project from scratch.
- About 20 hours a week, for 3 months, from home.
What to send
- The application form on this site. It is free, and you need a Schoolabe account.
- A link to one web project, or a repository with a page you built.
- Schoolabe writes back if they want to continue. A stipend amount is in the offer letter, and only if you are accepted.
Free to apply. You need a Schoolabe account. Selection is not guaranteed.
