What you will do
The team has more than one Next.js project. You are placed on one of them after you are accepted. Frontend work is the page layout. This role is the route: the page, the data it reads, and the URL a user opens.
A task is one route on that project. You open a pull request that names the URL and what should appear after the page loads.
At about 20 hours a week, a normal week is one route brought to a merge, including the review notes on that same pull request.
What you hand in
- The route
- A page in the project you were given. It loads, and the URL is the one in the task.
- The pull request
- What changed, which URL to open, and what a user should see. The branch builds.
- Review replies
- You update the same pull request when a reviewer asks for a change.
Skills
- Next.js
- You have built at least one Next.js page, or you can read an existing page in a project and follow how it loads data.
- React
- Components, props, and a list rendered from data.
- TypeScript
- You can read a typed prop and fix a type error. You do not need to design the types for the whole app.
Who can apply
- You have shipped one Next.js or React page you can link to.
- You can read an existing page on a project and change it without replacing the layout.
- About 20 hours a week, for 3 months, from home.
What to send
- The application form on this site. It is free, and you need a Schoolabe account.
- A link to a Next.js or React page you built.
- Schoolabe writes back if they want to continue. A stipend amount is in the offer letter, and only if you are accepted.
Free to apply. You need a Schoolabe account. Selection is not guaranteed.
