What you will do
You write Python lessons for whichever project you are placed on. That might be a course, a client brief, or docs for a tool. The topic comes with the assignment. You are not locked to one syllabus.
At about 20 hours a week, a normal week is two short lessons plus a few practice problems, or one harder lesson when the examples take longer to get right. You run every code block before you send the draft.
What you hand in
- The explanation
- One idea on the page. Written for someone who has not seen it in a lecture. No detour into the next topic.
- Code you have run
- A short program, the output it prints, and one sentence on why that output happened. If the code fails, the lesson is not ready.
- A practice problem
- One problem the student can try, plus a solution you checked. The solution stays with the draft so a reviewer can compare it.
- The revision
- A reviewer marks what is unclear or wrong. You change that draft. You do not start a new lesson to skip the notes.
Skills
- Python
- You write the example yourself. Describing a concept you cannot code is not enough for this role.
- Writing
- A student who missed the idea in class can still finish the page. Short sentences, one step at a time.
- Worked examples
- Code, output, and the reason for that output. The example is the lesson, not a decoration under it.
Who can apply
- You can explain a Python concept in plain language and back it with code you have run.
- Send a GitHub project or a writing sample. A degree title is not required.
- About 20 hours a week, for 3 months, from home.
What to send
- The application form on this site. It is free, and you need a Schoolabe account.
- One sample: a short Python explanation with code that runs, or a link to a project where you wrote that kind of explanation.
- Schoolabe writes back if they want to continue. A stipend amount is in the offer letter, and only if you are accepted.
Free to apply. You need a Schoolabe account. Selection is not guaranteed.
