Privacy Policy – Would You Rather

1. Overview

Would You Rather – Offline Social Game ("the App") respects your privacy. The App is published by Schoolabe.

Offline play is optional and does not require an account. Online play, friends, and other account features require sign-in with email or Sign in with Apple. Account and online play data are processed on our servers at api.schoolabe.com.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Offline / on-device data

When you play offline, the App may store limited data on your device only, such as:

  • Premium unlock status
  • Seen question history
  • Temporary in-game player names you enter

2.2 Account and online data

If you sign in to use online play, friends, or other account features, we collect information you provide or that is created through those features, which may include:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Username
  • Friend code
  • Account sign-in method (email or Sign in with Apple)
  • Online play and social data (for example rooms, answers, scores, and friend connections)

If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may share your name and email (or a private relay email) according to your Apple settings. We receive only what you authorize through Apple.

Account and online play data are sent to and stored on our backend services at api.schoolabe.com. This data is not limited to on-device storage.

3. Purchases

If you buy Premium, payment is processed by Apple through In‑App Purchases (StoreKit). We do not collect or store your payment card details. Purchase and subscription data is handled under Apple's terms and privacy policy.

4. Analytics / Ads / Tracking

The App may use Google Mobile Ads (AdMob), a service provided by Google LLC, to display advertisements. Google Mobile Ads may collect and use device information, advertising identifiers, approximate location, app interaction data, crash or diagnostics information, and other data as described by Google in order to deliver, measure, limit, and improve ads.

Depending on your device settings, consent choices, region, and Google's policies, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. Personalized ads use information such as advertising identifiers and app activity to show ads that may be more relevant to you. Non-personalized ads use more limited contextual information, such as general location and app content.

We do not sell your personal data. Ads in the App are handled by Google through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Google's use of information collected through Google Mobile Ads is governed by Google's own policies. You can learn more here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

You can control ad personalization through your device privacy settings and Google ad settings where available. On iOS, you may also be asked for permission before the App can track activity across other companies' apps and websites (App Tracking Transparency).

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share information as follows:

  • Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): When ads are shown, Google may collect and process device and advertising-related data as described in Section 4. Ads are handled by Google; we do not control Google's independent use of that data.
  • Apple: Sign in with Apple and In‑App Purchases are processed by Apple under Apple's terms and privacy policy.
  • Service providers: We may use infrastructure providers that host or help operate our backend at api.schoolabe.com, solely to provide the App.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Offline / on-device data:

  • You can reset in-app history from Settings.
  • You can delete on-device app data by uninstalling the App.

Account and online data: Account information and online play data are retained on our servers for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service. You can request account deletion or ask questions about your data through our support page. Uninstalling the App alone does not delete your server-side account data.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us and we will address the request.

8. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect data stored on your device and on our servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by revising the "Last updated" date above.
