Privacy Policy for Rollframe

1. Summary

Rollframe helps you write scripts with AI, practice with a teleprompter, and record videos.

• Scripts and teleprompter settings are stored on your device.
• AI prompts you submit are sent to our servers / AI providers to generate results.
• We use analytics, crash reporting, and advertising (on the free plan).
• We do not sell your personal information.

2. Information We Collect

A. Information you provide

• Scripts and content you create or paste in the app (stored locally on your device via on-device storage).
• AI prompts and text you submit to AI features (e.g., script generation, rewrite, hooks, titles, hashtags, summarizer).
• Feedback you send (message, optional reply email, device/app version).
• Preferences such as appearance and language (stored on device).

B. Information collected automatically

• Usage events (e.g., onboarding completed, recording started/saved, AI feature used, purchase success) via Firebase Analytics.
• Crash and diagnostic data via Firebase Crashlytics.
• Device and app information needed for ads, analytics, and support (device type, OS version, app version, approximate region/language as provided by Apple/Google SDKs).
• Advertising identifiers and related data if you allow App Tracking Transparency (ATT), used by Google AdMob for personalized ads on the free plan.

C. Purchases

Subscriptions (e.g., Rollframe Pro) are processed by Apple through the App Store / StoreKit. We receive purchase status/entitlement information (e.g., whether you are subscribed). We do not receive your full payment card details.

D. Permissions (device features)

With your permission, Rollframe may access:

• Camera — to record video with the teleprompter overlay
• Microphone — to capture audio in recordings
• Photo Library (add only) — to save finished recordings
• Tracking (ATT) — to show more relevant ads on the free plan

You can change these in iOS Settings. Denying permission may disable related features.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide core features (scripts, teleprompter, recording, AI tools)
• Process AI requests and return generated content
• Manage free limits and Pro entitlements
• Show ads to free users (banner and interstitial)
• Improve reliability, performance, and product quality
• Respond to feedback and support requests
• Comply with legal obligations

4. AI Processing

When you use AI features, the text you submit is sent to our backend and/or AI service providers (including infrastructure operated for Schoolabe and AI model providers such as Groq) to generate a response.

Do not submit sensitive personal data (passwords, financial account numbers, government IDs, health data, etc.) in AI prompts. Generated content may be inaccurate; review it before use.

5. Advertising

On the free plan, Rollframe shows ads via Google AdMob (including banners and interstitial ads).

• Pro subscribers do not see ads.
• If you allow tracking, ads may be personalized.
• If you decline tracking, you may still see non-personalized ads.

6. Analytics & Crash Reporting

We use Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics) to understand feature usage and diagnose crashes. These services may process device identifiers and event data under Google's terms.

7. How We Share Information

We share information only as needed with:

• Service providers that help us operate the app (hosting, AI processing, analytics, ads, crash reporting)
• Apple for App Store purchases and related services
• Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security

We do not sell your personal information.

8. Data Retention

• On-device scripts and settings: remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.
• AI request data: retained only as needed to provide the service, security, abuse prevention, and improvement, then deleted or anonymized according to our operational practices.
• Feedback emails: retained as needed to respond and improve support.
• Analytics/crash/ad data: retained according to the third-party provider's policies.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. Children's Privacy

Rollframe is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

11. Your Choices & Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal data, or to object to certain processing.

You can:

• Delete scripts in the app or uninstall the app to remove on-device data
• Disable Camera, Microphone, Photos, or Tracking in iOS Settings
• Manage subscriptions in your Apple ID / App Store settings
• Contact us at support@rollframe.app to make a privacy request

For Apple ID / purchase data, some requests must go through Apple.

12. International Transfers

We and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

13. Third-Party Links & Services

The app may open third-party services (Apple, Google, Mail, web links). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use of Rollframe after an update means you accept the revised policy.
